Cheap electromagnetic butterfly valve product is not just an advertising slogan. This is a query that is entered into search engines every day by cement plant engineers, pneumatic conveyor designers, and grain processing enterprise purchasers. We have heard more than once: “We need a reliable butterfly valve with an electromagnetic drive - but the budget is tight.” And each time they checked three things: the real price at the installation stage, the uptime in a dusty environment and how quickly it pays for itself due to reduced downtime.
Many buyers automatically reject low-price offers, believing that there are hidden compromises in the disc material or a weak electromagnet. But practice shows something different. In 2023, we tested 17 models of butterfly valves under conditions of pneumatic gypsum supply (temperature up to +65°C, moisture content 8–12%). The most durable is not the most expensive. Its advantage is the precise adjustment of the gap between the disk and the case: 0.12 mm instead of the typical 0.25–0.35 mm. This reduced seal wear by 2.3 times. A cheap electromagnetic butterfly valve product is made possible thanks to three solutions: the optimized shape of the magnetic core, casting the body from SCh20 cast iron with heat treatment, rather than stamping; and the abandonment of expensive sealed bearings where protected self-aligning ones are sufficient.

The first step is to determine the operating mode. If the shutter opens/closes less than 5 times per hour, the YZ-DL-24B series is suitable. Its resource is 250,000 cycles. If the frequency is higher, take the YZ-DL-24H: reinforced shaft, increased air gap in the electromagnet, protection against restarts in less than 0.8 s.
The second step is to check the pressure in the system. For pneumatic transport up to 0.8 bar - standard housing. For pressures above 1.2 bar - only a modification with a reinforced PN16 flange and seal according to DIN 3869-2.
The third step is to select the disc version. 304 steel - for food and pharmaceutical applications. Cast iron SCh20 with CrC coating - for abrasive materials: cement, dolomite, quartz sand. We do not offer a "universal" drive. He doesn't exist. Universal is a compromise. And the compromise is refusal after 4 months.
