Cheap butterfly valves for water are not a myth, but a reality for Russian and post-Soviet customers. We are not talking about Chinese “budget” valves with thin discs and rubber that cracks at +5°C. We are talking about certified, hydraulically designed, mechanically stable valves that have been tested in water intakes in Kazakhstan, sewage pumping stations in Belarus and irrigation systems in Central Asia. These are the kinds of solutions that design engineers, housing and communal services purchasers and industrial contractors are looking for today.
We often hear from clients: “I want a cheap butterfly valve for water, but I’m afraid to overpay for repairs in a year.” This is not fear - this is experience. In 2021, one of our customers in the Orenburg region installed three valves without a manufacturer’s passport and without calculating a pressure of 1.6 MPa. After 8 months, two of them failed due to disk deformation due to water hammer. Cause? Disc thickness is 4.2 mm instead of the minimum 6.5 mm for DN200 at PN16. We have a different approach. All YZ-DW series models (eg YZ-DW-200-16) undergo hydraulic simulation in SolidWorks Flow Simulation. The disc is made of AISI 304 or 316 stainless steel, the seal is EPDM with a temperature range from −25 to +80°C, the body is SCh20 cast iron with an epoxy coating with a thickness of 250 microns. The price remains competitive not due to simplification, but due to vertical integration: in-house casting, in-house assembly, absence of intermediaries in the supply chain.
Some people think that “exporters” are just a company with a customs declaration. In practice, it's different. We saw how a customer in Yekaterinburg received a shutter without a fastening kit and without a Russian-language passport. I had to wait 37 days for a new batch to arrive. Our logistics are different. All valves for the Russian market are equipped with: bolts of strength class 8.8, stainless steel washers, o-rings in stock, as well as a passport in Russian indicating GOST 9692–2017, a hydraulic test report and an installation diagram. We work directly with logistics partners in Novosibirsk and Minsk - delivery time to Moscow or St. Petersburg is 12–18 working days. We don’t “ship and forget” - we accompany you until commissioning: we advise on the choice of flange design (GOST 12820-80 or DIN 2501), help calculate the torque for a manual drive and check compatibility with existing instrumentation.
The most common mistake is to focus only on diameter and pressure. But the key parameters affecting durability and cost are hidden deeper:
We do not sell the catalogue. We help you draw up technical specifications: we indicate what data is needed - operating pressure, temperature, chemical composition of the medium, frequency of opening/closing cycles. Only after this we formulate a commercial offer - with price, terms and warranty obligations.
Chengdu Yizhi Technology Co., Ltd. founded in 2013 as a design institute under Chengdu Huaxi Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. The registered capital is 120 million yuan. This is not a “trading platform”, but an engineering center with its own laboratory for testing pressures up to 4.0 MPa and life tests for 10,000 cycles. We develop valves not “for the market”, but for specific tasks - from water intake in Siberian conditions to water recovery at a food enterprise in Armenia. Many exporters can offer cheap butterfly valves for water. But only those who control the entire cycle - from disk calculation to customs documentation - ensure a balance of price, reliability and service. Detailed technical specifications, drawings and examples of projects are on the websiteyzkjhx.ru. There is also an online cost calculator taking into account equipment, logistics and currency fluctuations.
