We measured the extraction rate of benzothiophene in the laboratory: 94.2% in the first cycle, 93.8% in the twelfth. No restoration costs, no volume loss, no waste water.
  • Temperature range +20…+45 °C: there is no heating equipment, steam boilers, heat exchangers. The energy consumption of an installation with a capacity of 5 m³/h is 4.2 kWh per ton of raw material. For comparison: hydrogenation purification requires 28–35 kWh.
  • Compactness: The YZ-DSF-500 module occupies 4.8 m² of space and is installed in an existing room without redevelopment. Installation - 3 days. No foundations, exhaust shafts, or emergency drain systems are needed.
  • Reagent life: subject to storage conditions (in a sealed container under nitrogen, without access to moisture), the shelf life is 36 months. We delivered the batch in November 2021; in April 2024, the client carried out a repeat analysis - the indicators coincided with the passport ones.

Where “cheap” turns into “impractical” - three restrictions that we honestly indicate in the technical specifications

Some customers ask: “Why not use ionic liquids for all types of fuel?” The answer is because chemistry requires honesty. We abandoned two projects in 2023 precisely because of the inconsistency of conditions.

Firstly,high asphaltene content. If the fuel oil contains more than 4.2% asphaltenes according to GOST R 51858-2019, the ionic liquid begins to form stable emulsions. We offer pre-deasphalting or a combined approach - first solvent, then ionic liquid.

Secondly,water in raw materials. The permissible threshold is 0.03 wt%. At 0.07% we observe a decrease in desulfurization efficiency by 22%. We recommend installing a pre-separation unit with coalescers - this adds 8% to the cost of the module, but guarantees process stability.

Thirdly,pour point above +15 °C. Ionic liquids are sensitive to the viscosity of the medium. When processing high-paraffin diesel, we add 0.8% YZ-FL-11 modifier - it does not affect sulfur extraction, but reduces viscosity by 35% at +25 °C.

Honesty in limits is our main tool of trust. We don't sell solutions. We select them for a specific oil, a specific reservoir, a specific budget.

How to choose the right product: three steps that save 120–200 thousand rubles

We have seen customers lose money on the wrong reagent. One plant in Bashkortostan bought a universal ionic liquid “for all petroleum products.” After a month, efficiency dropped from 89% to 54%. The reason is the incompatibility of the anion with mercaptans in its AI-92 gasoline.

The right choice is not a catalog, but a diagnosis:

  1. Raw material analysis: We accept samples of 200 ml or more free of charge. We determine the type of organosulfur compounds (thiophenes, sulfoxides, mercaptans), water content, density, acid number. Without this, any recommendation is a guess.
  2. Selection of composition: We have 7 basic recipes. YZ-IL-23A - for diesel fuel and motor oils. YZ-IL-17B - for gasolines with a high content of mercaptans. YZ-IL-31C - for fractions with a boiling point above 350 °C. The choice depends on the results of the analysis - not on the price.
  3. Pilot testing: We supply 5 liters of reagent and a laboratory bench kit. The client himself conducts 3 series of tests using his own parameters. Only after this we sign a supply agreement.

This approach adds 7-10 days to the deadline but eliminates costly mistakes. Average savings are 174 thousand rubles in the first year of operation.

The price of the YZ-IL-23A reagent is from 490 rubles per kilogram. But the cost of cleaning one liter of diesel is 14–19 rubles.
