
The production of hydrogen from natural gas consists of two parts: the conversion of gas vapor into converted gas and the purification of hydrogen using the PSA method. After compression and desulfurization, natural gas is mixed with water vapor. Under the action of nickel catalyst at a temperature of 750~850℃, natural gas is converted into converted gas consisting of hydrogen, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. The converted gas can be further converted into hydrogen and carbon dioxide by conversion technology, then the converted gas or reformed gas is purified and separated by PSA method to produce high purity hydrogen.
Description of technology

Hydrogen production from natural gas is a more traditional technology that has previously been often used in large-scale hydrogen supplies, such as deliveries greater than 5,000 m3/h. Recognizing that hydrogen consumers in China are dispersed and small, we have developed a hydrogen production technology with low capital investment and low steam and natural gas conversion costs, which is ideal for small-to-medium hydrogen needs. In natural gas-rich regions, producing hydrogen from natural gas is the best option. Our company has already built such devices and transferred technology to domestic and foreign customers.
